The two whites of bodhi

The two whites of bodhi

Both are white bodhi, but they are cut from different seeds and finished differently. Milk Moon keeps a rounded edge and a faint translucence; White Lotus is flatter, with a carved stone set at the guru bead.

If you want a strand that hangs like a rope, take Milk Moon. If you want one that sits close and clicks softly when you move, take White Lotus — the flat cut stacks.

Neither is better. The difference shows up after a year: rounded seeds polish, flat seeds darken at the edges.
